- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 12 large egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup cinnamon sugar
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, sift together the cake flour and half of the sugar.
- In another large bowl, beat the egg whites, salt, and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Carefully fold in the flour mixture and vanilla extract.
- Using a piping bag, pipe the batter into the hot oil in bite-sized pieces.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Roll the warm churro bites in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
