- 2 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup oats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar together until smooth. Add the egg and mix well.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the sliced apples.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- To make the streusel topping, mix together flour, brown sugar, oats, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the apple mixture.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Serve warm or at room temperature, dusted with powdered sugar and paired with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
