Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until combined and bubbling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes, until golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
  7. Let it sit for a few minutes to melt, then spread the chocolate evenly.
  8. Before the chocolate sets, add chopped nuts on top.
  9. Allow it to cool completely, then cut into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to line your baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal. Allow cooling for easier cutting.
