Ingredients
2 cups (500 ml) water
2 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
A few mint leaves or ginger slices (optional)
Instructions
Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
Remove from heat and steep 2 tablespoons of butterfly pea flowers in the water for 10 minutes.
Strain the liquid into a glass or jar.
Let it cool slightly if serving cold.
Add lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and optional honey.
Stir and watch the drink turn from deep blue to purple.
Serve over ice or enjoy warm. Use a straw to protect teeth from vinegar acidity.
