- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Add chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor. Store in an airtight container to maintain softness.
