- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a spoon, drop dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Measure peanut butter accurately for ideal texture. Avoid overmixing after adding flour. Try chunky peanut butter for texture, or sprinkle sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty combo.
