Description

Christmas Sprinkle Buttermilk Bread is soft, sweet, and festive—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a holiday snack. Colorful sprinkles make it fun for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, vegetable oil, and egg until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined – do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the colorful sprinkles.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or dried fruit to customize the recipe. A little vanilla or almond extract also boosts the festive flavor.
