Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, vegetable oil, and egg until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined – do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the colorful sprinkles.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
You can add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or dried fruit to customize the recipe. A little vanilla or almond extract also boosts the festive flavor.
