Description

Delightful cookies combining the texture of a cookie with traditional coffee cake flavors, topped with sweet cinnamon.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the softened butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Stir in the sour cream until combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon, brown sugar, and nuts.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
