- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate peppermint Hershey Kisses
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips.
- Roll dough into balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes. Cookies should be soft in the center.
- Immediately press a Hershey Kiss into the center of each cookie after baking.
- Cool on the sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Let cookies cool completely before stacking or storing to avoid melting the Kisses. These cookies also make great edible gifts when packaged in festive boxes.
