- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the softened butter, eggnog, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Add a drizzle of eggnog glaze for extra sweetness, or fold in dried fruit or nuts for more texture and flavor.
