Description

Eggnog Sweet Bread is a soft, spiced holiday loaf that’s perfect for Christmas morning or cozy winter gatherings. With warm notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and classic eggnog flavor, this treat is festive, fluffy, and full of cheer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the softened butter, eggnog, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Add a drizzle of eggnog glaze for extra sweetness, or fold in dried fruit or nuts for more texture and flavor.
