Description

A comforting meal of golden seared chicken served with creamy, cheesy mashed potatoes and rich garlic gravy, perfect for family dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken until golden and cooked through, around 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. For the mashed potatoes, prepare them according to your preferred recipe, then stir in shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Serve chicken over the cheesy mashed potatoes and drizzle with garlic gravy. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken before cooking. Use freshly made mashed potatoes for the best texture.
