Description
These classic hamburger patties are juicy, flavorful, and easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. Whether you grill, pan-fry, or cook them on a griddle, they’re the perfect foundation for any burger night. Customize with your favorite toppings and buns for the ultimate homemade burger!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended for juiciness)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Optional: 1 egg (for extra binding), ¼ cup breadcrumbs (if pan-frying)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into ¾-inch thick patties.
Press a small dent into the center of each patty with your thumb (to prevent puffing).
Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings and condiments.
Notes
Avoid over-mixing the beef—this keeps the patties tender.
For extra flavor, refrigerate patties for 20 minutes before cooking.
For cheeseburgers, add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking.
Toast the buns for added texture and flavor.
