Description

Marry Me Chicken” is a rich, creamy, skillet-seared chicken dish so good it might just earn you a proposal. Made with tender chicken breasts, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and a luscious parmesan cream sauce, this one-pan meal is quick enough for weeknights and impressive enough for guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained and chopped)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to make thinner cutlets. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.

  3. Sear chicken cutlets 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

  5. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze pan, then stir in cream, parmesan, red pepper flakes, and sun-dried tomatoes.

  6. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens. Add Italian seasoning.

  7. Return chicken to pan and coat with sauce. Simmer for 2 more minutes.

  8. Garnish with chopped basil or parsley and serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Use thin-sliced chicken breasts for faster, even cooking.

  • To make it low-carb, serve over sautéed spinach or zucchini noodles.

  • For extra richness, add a splash of white wine when deglazing the pan.

  • Make it spicy by increasing red pepper flakes or adding hot sauce.
