Description

Delightful soft peppermint candies perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)
  • Food coloring (red, green, or white)
  • Cornstarch (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and peppermint extract.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing until the dough forms. Divide the dough and mix in cocoa powder and food coloring for variations, if desired.
  3. Dust your hands and surface with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls or shape them into disks.
  5. Place shaped mints on a parchment-lined tray and let them dry at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 2 months.

Notes

Make sure ingredients are at room temperature for easier mixing. Experiment with different flavors by adding almond or vanilla extract.
