Description

Soft Christmas Peppermints are melt-in-your-mouth holiday treats with a refreshing minty flavor. Easy to make and perfect for gifting, dessert platters, or pairing with coffee, they bring festive cheer to every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • Food coloring (red, green, or white)
  • Coating sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and softened butter. Mix until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into portions and add food coloring to each, if desired.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls or shape it into discs.
  5. If using, coat with additional powdered sugar for sparkle.
  6. Allow the mints to dry on parchment paper for at least 1 hour.
  7. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Notes

Try topping with crushed candy canes before drying for extra holiday flair. Adjust peppermint extract to taste for a stronger mint flavor.
