Description

A delightful dish that blends the sweetness of sweet potatoes with the tartness of fresh cranberries, perfect for family dinners and holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer the sweet potatoes and cranberries.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream with salt and pepper, then pour it over the layered sweet potatoes and cranberries.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded Gruyère cheese on top and add breadcrumbs for a crunchy layer.
  6. Dot with butter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
