Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup of pecan halves
  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of light corn syrup
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
  4. In another large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, and salt.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract until combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips and pecan halves until mixed evenly.
  8. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  9. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden.
  10. Let the pie cool completely before slicing.
