Description

Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is a rich and gooey twist on a classic Southern dessert. Combining the nutty crunch of pecans with luscious chocolate in a flaky crust, it’s perfect for holidays, dinner parties, or whenever you crave a decadent slice of comfort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly gooey.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Notes

For extra depth of flavor, use toasted pecans or add a splash of bourbon. Don’t worry if the center seems soft after baking—it will firm up as it cools.
