Description
Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie is a rich and gooey twist on a classic Southern dessert. Combining the nutty crunch of pecans with luscious chocolate in a flaky crust, it’s perfect for holidays, dinner parties, or whenever you crave a decadent slice of comfort.
Ingredients
Scale

- 1 pie crust
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, corn syrup, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly gooey.
- Allow to cool before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Notes
For extra depth of flavor, use toasted pecans or add a splash of bourbon. Don’t worry if the center seems soft after baking—it will firm up as it cools.
