Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla, almond extract, and orange zest; mix until smooth.
- Gradually mix in flour until dough forms; add milk if needed.
- Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut with cookie cutters.
- Chill cookies on baking sheets for 10-15 minutes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden; let cool completely.
- Prepare icing by whisking meringue powder, lemon juice, and water; gradually add sugar while beating until glossy.
- Divide icing into bowls, add food coloring, and decorate cookies.
- Let decorated cookies set before serving.
