- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- Green food coloring
- Red and green sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually stir into the wet mixture.
- Add the almond extract and a few drops of green food coloring, mixing until the color is evenly distributed.
- Pack the dough into a cookie press and form wreath shapes on ungreased baking sheets.
- Decorate with red and green sprinkles.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a container for a couple of months.
