Description

A delightful dish combining savory and sweet flavors, featuring crispy cured meat, tender Brussels sprouts, crunchy pecans, and tangy balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 4 slices cured meat, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts.
  3. In a bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and add chopped cured meat on top.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until Brussels sprouts are tender and cured meat is crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and stir in pecans and cranberries.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute cured meat with smoked paprika. Experiment with different types of cured meat or add cheese before serving.
