Description

Delicious chicken wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough and smothered in a rich, creamy Parmesan sauce. Perfect for cozy nights or entertaining friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked and Shredded Chicken
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 pkg Crescent Roll Dough
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 1 large Egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 4 tbsp Butter (for roux)
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder (for sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (for sauce)
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper (for sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Open the crescent roll dough and lay it out on a floured surface. Separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on the thick end of each triangle. Roll it up starting from the thick end to the point.
  5. Place the rolled pillows on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with the beaten egg and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs if using.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  7. For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce: In a saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  8. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk and heavy cream.
  9. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened. Stir in the Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the cheese is melted.
  10. Serve the chicken pillows hot out of the oven, drizzled with the warm creamy Parmesan sauce.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time. Adjust the spices according to your taste. For a thicker sauce, add more flour and cook a bit longer.
