Ingredients
1 cup raw pistachios (unsalted, shelled)
1 cup raw almonds (unsalted)
¼ tsp sea salt (optional)
½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
1–2 tsp maple syrup or vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
Toast the nuts
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread almonds and pistachios on a baking sheet. Roast for 8–10 minutes. Let cool for 2–3 minutes.Blend
Add roasted nuts to a food processor. Blend in 1–2 minute intervals, scraping sides. Process until smooth and creamy (8–12 minutes total).Flavor (optional)
Add salt, cinnamon, or sweetener. Blend for 1 more minute to mix.Store
Transfer to a glass jar. Store at room temperature for 1 week or in the fridge for up to 1 month.
Notes
For crunchy pistachio almond butter, pulse in ¼ cup chopped roasted pistachios at the end.
Warm nuts blend faster and smoother—don’t skip the roasting step.
